【遊戲簡介】：生死格鬥（英語：Dead or Alive，日語：デッド?オア?アライヴ，中國大陸譯作：死或生，簡稱DOA）是日本遊戲公司Tecmo旗下的Team Ninja小組所製作以3D格鬥遊戲為主的系列遊戲。
DOA整體精髓所在，採用攻擊克摔技，摔技克反擊（Hold），反擊克攻擊所構成三者相剋的猜拳系統，對於整個系統中最核心的HOLD技（返技）有分為上段返中段返與下段返，在DOAU中中段返又再次被細化為前中段返（主返中段腿攻擊）與後中段返（主返中段拳攻擊）的模式，如此一來DOA最核心的HOLD技完全成熟，在遊戲中已經不能在依靠運氣來獲勝，相反高級玩家要熟悉所有角色的連擊技，浮空技，以及騙投時機等，並預讀對手行動在第一時間作出正確的反應才能制敵取勝。DOA4更是被列為WCG指定比賽項目。獲得更多玩家的注意。並與《VF》（VR戰士）《鐵拳》並稱三大經典3D徒手格鬥遊戲
主要是更換了一些角色的服裝，比如霞的1P變成紅色，然後手甲系帶等還是藍色

from the previous release as well as new content, this project is being dubbed DOA2 ULTIMATE EDITION for
the Dreamcast.

1) C1 costume is now red <--- NEW TO THIS RELEASE!
2) C5 Kasumi Schoolgirl costume has been modified

1) Hair has been altered for C2 costume <--- NEW TO THIS RELEASE!

1) Tattoo added to stomach on C4 costume <--- NEW TO THIS RELEASE!

1) Added web and spider designs to pants of C6 costume <--- NEW TO THIS RELEASE!
Tina-
1) Play as Helena's Mom by selecting C4 costume
2) Play in Tina's Furcoat by selecting C5 costume <--- NEW TO THIS RELEASE!
Leon-
1) Play as Bayman by selecting C3 costume (New color palette for Bayman costume)
*Various Character dialogue for game's story has been changed. Previous release
had new material, ULTIMATE EDITION has even more. For example, Check out
Kasumi's 'ending' <--- NEW TO THIS RELEASE!
*Many songs have been replaced with tracks from DOA4
